Do you want a volunteer experience that is meaningful, completely immersive and locally run?

FACE Nepal is a unique volunteer & sponsorship organisation dedicated to providing clear benefit to the Nepali people by having a direct connection with the local community. The heart of FACE Nepal's mission is transparency (through direct contact with our local team and clear accounting) and sustainability (by ensuring community support and inclusion on all projects and sponsorships).

Our Story

In 2004 amongst great political upheaval in Nepal, Zoe Dryden found herself living with Shreeram Devkota in his small, remote home on the edge of Chitwan national part. As a business start-up specialist she was used to being busy and found the adjustment to volunteering hard, especially in light of schools being shut down due to protests and roads closed…meaning there was little to contribute at that time as a volunteer.

Our Volunteer Programmes

If you are a field specialist in a practical area, FACE Nepal will aim to organise a volunteer experience based on your skill-set and the community needs.

Working with FACE Nepal was one of the greatest things I have ever done. I was really lucky to be hosted at Sheeram’s place. They helped me out all the time to make me feel comfortable and happy. I could have a much better idea of what Nepalese culture was and I really learned so many interesting and fascinating things about these people and their humanity.

Teaching children from this community was the most intense and wonderful experience of my life. They gave me much more than I could teach them. I am very lucky because I could have the opportunity to share such an unforgettable experience with lovely people.
